Working together in Tourette's Syndrome

Muriel Gijsel was born and grew up in Belgium, went to Medical school in Amsterdam, Holland and came to England on a Gap year in 1989. I never went to live anywhere else again. She did her Psychiatric training in the UK and has worked in Devon for the past 15 years, mainly in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.

Her special interest is Tourette's syndrome and other Neurodevelopment Conditions. Wherever possible she works together with others - Paediatricians, Speech and Language therapists and Psychologists. Together they run a Neurodevelopment assessment clinic.

Tourette's requires a multidisciplinary approach and she works a lot with Tourette's Action, the Tourette's Charity, a local support group and their representative Mrs Zoe Streather who will join Muriel in doing the presentation.
